Job Overview: A law firm specializing in a diverse range of practice areas seeks a Transactional Associate Attorney to join its team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of related experience, possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and hold a current license to practice law in the state of California.

Duties:

  • Research and analyze the law on complex issues and prepare briefs for submission to the Supervising Attorney(s).
  • Analyze and summarize complicated legal documents, including contracts, and propose alterations.
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.
  • Conduct due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements.
  • Evaluate potential legal liabilities for clients based on legal precedents.
  • Advise clients on business transactions, claim liability, and legal rights and obligations.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
  • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for case presentations.
  • Gather evidence by interviewing clients and witnesses and examining public records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues specializing in relevant legal areas to establish bases for legal proceedings.
  • Maintain communication with clients concerning representation as needed.
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Supervise Legal Secretaries and Paralegals as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of related experience.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Current license to practice law in the state of California.
