Job Overview: A law firm located in Athens, GA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney. The role involves handling complex personal injury cases from start to finish, providing strategic legal representation to clients, and working closely with a team of attorneys and support staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for client communication, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy.

Duties:

  • Handle personal injury cases from intake through settlement or jury verdict.
  • Engage in client communication and provide legal counsel throughout the case.
  • Take and defend depositions as part of case preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft relevant motions and pleadings.

  • Prepare for and represent clients in court, serving as 1st chair in jury trials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
  • Proven track record of success as a 1st chair in jury trials.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
  • Extensive experience with drafting and responding to legal motions.
  • Strong knowledge of Georgia Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Preference for candidates who can work in-office, though remote work may be available for top-tier talent.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing membership with the Georgia State Bar.
