Trial Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A plaintiff-focused civil litigation law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Trial Attorney to join its team, handling personal injury and employment law cases. This role offers the opportunity to take an active role in all stages of litigation, including strategy, depositions, motion practice, and trials. The position is primarily remote, with in-person appearances required several times per month in Santa Ana or Los Angeles.

Location:

• Santa Ana, California

Duties:

• Handle plaintiff-side litigation in personal injury and employment law matters

• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, from intake to trial

• Communicate with clients, team members, opposing counsel, and the court

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations

• Develop case strategy in collaboration with the legal team

• Maintain timely updates and organized case files

• Utilize legal technology tools such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and PowerPoint

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest or experience in civil litigation

• Previous involvement with plaintiff-side work or plaintiff bar associations preferred

• Proactive approach to workload and team support

• Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment

• Willingness to attend in-person proceedings and meetings as needed

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar
