Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly skilled litigation associate with 4-7 years of experience to work on a wide range of complex litigation matters. This position offers an opportunity to handle cutting-edge cases, including disputes related to fiduciary obligations, constitutional law, employee and disability retirement benefits, intellectual property, insurance coverage, real estate, lease disputes, and breach of contract claims. Duties:

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters, including complex disputes in multiple legal areas such as fiduciary obligations, constitutional law, employee retirement benefits, intellectual property, and more.
  • Conduct legal research and draft written discovery, pleadings, briefs, and motions for state and federal court cases.
  • Manage and assist with eDiscovery processes.
  • Participate in depositions, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team, taking ownership of significant projects.
  • Effectively manage multiple cases and projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of litigation experience.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
  • Strong research and drafting skills, with experience in discovery, pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • eDiscovery experience preferred.
  • Deposition experience is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to take ownership of key assignments.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • eDiscovery experience and deposition experience are preferred.
