A law firm in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Healthcare Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in healthcare and transactional law. The ideal candidate will assist clients with entity formation, payor negotiations, operational issues, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on the formation of healthcare entities and corporate structures.
  • Assist with payor negotiations, including contracts with health plans, HMOs, and insurance companies.
  • Provide legal guidance on operational issues for healthcare entities.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, including navigating complex regulatory environments.
  • Counsel clients on compliance with Knox-Keene Act regulations and licensing requirements for healthcare entities.
  • Draft and review contracts, policies, and agreements related to healthcare operations.
  • Collaborate with clients on risk management and regulatory issues involving health plans, insurance companies, and HMOs.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare and transactional law.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Knox-Keene licensed healthcare entities and related regulations.
  • Experience working with health plans, HMOs, health insurance companies, and navigating healthcare entity regulations.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to advise clients on state and federal healthcare statutes and regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with California’s healthcare regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency in healthcare compliance and risk management strategies.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar is required.
