A law firm seeks an entry-level Associate Attorney for a busy workers' compensation practice, based in Allentown, PA. This position offers the opportunity to join a firm that handles various legal matters including personal injury, social security disability, civil law, and municipal work. The firm promotes a flexible work environment with hybrid work options and a schedule designed to support work-life balance. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply, though not required.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases, providing legal representation to clients.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide insights to clients and senior attorneys.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and conferences as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and management.
  • Assist in handling personal injury, social security disability, civil law, and municipal cases as required.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties regarding case progress and settlements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania or eligible for admission.
  • Experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a strong work ethic.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility for admission.
