A law firm based in Meridian, ID, is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle collection and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. This role involves managing breach of contract and collection litigation from initial demand through judgment, attending court hearings, preparing and arguing Motions for Summary Judgment, and handling a substantial caseload efficiently. The position offers remote work options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage breach of contract and collection litigation matters from initial demand through final judgment.
  • Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in-person, as needed.
  • Prepare, file, and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
  • Effectively manage an assigned caseload to meet goals and client expectations.
  • Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of California; multi-jurisdictional admission in AZ, CA, NV, and TX is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.

  • Strong research abilities, including proficiency in legal and non-legal sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.
