Job Overview

An esteemed national law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance team. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in representing clients in renewable energy project development, acquisitions, and financing transactions. This role offers meaningful client interaction and the opportunity to handle sophisticated legal matters in a dynamic and growing industry.

Location

Duties

  • Advise and represent sponsors and financing parties in the renewable energy sector

  • Draft and negotiate project development and operation contracts such as:

    • EPC Contracts

    • Supply Agreements

    • Offtake Agreements

    • O&M Agreements

  • Draft and negotiate financing documents including:

    • Debt financing agreements

    • Tax equity financing documents

    • M&A-related documentation

  • Manage client communications and coordinate with third-party advisors

  • Lead and collaborate effectively on deal teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of legal experience in the energy industry

  • Experience gained at a nationally recognized law firm or equivalent in-house legal department

  • Proven ability to manage complex energy-related transactions

  • Familiarity with project development, M&A, or finance work within the renewable energy space

  • Strong writing, research, and analytical capabilities

  • Admitted to the state bar and in good standing in the jurisdiction of residence

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier accredited law school

  • Strong academic performance required

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar

Skills

  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex contracts

  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy project finance

  • Strong communication and client management skills

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of matters

  • Collaborative team player with sound judgment
