Associate Attorney, Corporate & Tax

A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its team in Pasadena, CA. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a background in corporate and tax law to further develop their expertise within a supportive and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate law and tax matters, and a strong desire to grow within a well-established firm.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel in corporate and tax-related matters.
• Assist clients with the formation, structuring, and operation of businesses, including partnerships, corporations, and LLCs.
• Handle tax planning, compliance, and strategy for clients.
• Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and other transactional materials.
• Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
• Conduct legal research and guide on complex corporate and tax issues.
• Represent clients in corporate and tax-related matters before government agencies, including the IRS.
• Manage client relationships and maintain clear communication regarding case progress.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in corporate and tax law.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, business law, and tax regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking on individual responsibilities.
• Proven experience in legal research, drafting, and client communication.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• An active member of the state bar in good standing.
• Additional certifications in tax law or corporate law are a plus.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of corporate and tax law principles.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
