Job Overview
A prominent law firm is seeking an associate attorney to join its Real Estate and Land Use group in Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. The firm’s real estate practice serves a wide range of clients, including REITs, institutional investors, developers, private equity investors, and companies in various industries, such as health systems and renewable energy.

Location

  • Phoenix, AZ

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including development, purchases and sales, leases, and real estate secured loans.

  • Handle modifications, workout documents, and other real estate transaction-related documentation.

  • Conduct due diligence and assist in closing real estate transactions.

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and professionals across the firm’s national real estate practice.

  • Participate in a variety of real estate matters, providing support for both local and national clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.

  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate law, including development, purchases, leases, and secured loans.

  • Ability to draft and negotiate complex real estate documents.

  • Solid experience with due diligence processes and closing transactions.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in Arizona (or eligibility to become admitted in Arizona).

Skills

  • Knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and land use law.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple real estate matters simultaneously.

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.
