Associate Attorney with civil litigation experience

A law firm seeks multiple self-motivated Associate Attorneys to join its growing first-party property insurance defense practice in Coral Springs, FL. The ideal candidates will possess strong writing skills and a desire for professional growth within a collaborative and dynamic legal environment. While experience in homeowners' insurance or related property damage litigation is preferred, it is not a requirement.

Duties

• Manage a full caseload of first-party property insurance defense cases.
• Prepare initial case assessments and reports to evaluate case strategies.
• Conduct motion practice, including drafting and filing motions as necessary.
• Take and defend depositions to gather essential testimony and evidence.
• Communicate directly with clients and attorneys via phone and email to provide updates and gather information.
• Track and record billable hours for file-related tasks to ensure accurate billing.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• 0 to 6 years of civil litigation experience in state and/or federal court.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills

• Strong writing and analytical skills to effectively draft legal documents.
• Excellent communication skills for direct interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases and deadlines.
• Familiarity with insurance law is a plus but not required.
