A law firm seeks a talented and driven Mid-level Antitrust Associate to join its Antitrust and Competition Practice Group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will bring 4-6 years of experience in antitrust litigation and merger investigations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to advance in a dynamic practice, providing support on complex antitrust cases and transactions. The position offers strong growth potential and the opportunity to directly engage with clients and opposing counsel.

Duties:

  • Handle antitrust litigation matters, including preparing pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Assist in merger investigations and antitrust compliance issues.
  • Provide legal advice on antitrust matters, including regulatory submissions and investigations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for case management and dispute resolution.
  • Interact directly with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on antitrust law, regulations, and precedents.
  • Prepare and present reports and legal memoranda for clients and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in antitrust law, including both litigation and merger investigations, with a focus on competition law.
  • Strong academic background from a top-tier law school.
  • Experience in large law firms or government agencies is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be admitted to the D.C. Bar or eligible for waiver into the D.C. Bar.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the D.C. Bar.

  • Expertise in antitrust litigation, merger investigations, and competition law.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
