A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead high-profile automotive-related litigation. The role requires managing complex discovery processes, overseeing a legal team, and ensuring comprehensive legal strategy in product liability and warranty law matters.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage high-profile automotive-related litigation, including discovery processes and legal strategy.
  • Oversee the discovery process, including drafting responses, preparing protective orders, and conducting investigations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of staff attorneys and paralegals throughout litigation.
  • Conduct and defend corporate depositions, ensuring adherence to legal standards.
  • Handle discovery motions and negotiate settlements when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with California breach of warranty law and product liability standards.
  • Collaborate with senior partners to develop litigation strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Stay updated on federal and local court procedures relevant to automotive litigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in litigation, with a focus on product liability and California breach of warranty law.
  • Extensive experience managing complex discovery processes and handling discovery motions.
  • Proficiency in overseeing corporate depositions and preparing protective orders.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and local court procedures, particularly in California.
  • Admission to the California Bar is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee staff attorneys and paralegals.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters and work under pressure in high-stakes cases.
  • Familiarity with federal and local courts is preferred.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Admission to the California Bar is required.
