Job Overview:
An established multi-state law firm specializing in real estate and creditors' rights law is seeking a qualified Associate Attorney to support its Missouri practice. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a high volume of cases within creditors' rights and real estate law.
  • Handle discovery practices, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Represent clients in court and attend necessary hearings.
  • Provide appellate support and manage legal strategy.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry professionals.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth and success through proactive involvement and collaboration.
  • Assist in mentoring junior attorneys and fostering a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the Missouri State Bar.
  • Licensed (or able to obtain licensure) in the Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • Newly licensed attorneys welcome to apply; 5+ years of litigation experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to handle a substantial caseload in creditors' rights.
  • Familiarity with discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution practices.
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to mentor and collaborate with a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to proactively build relationships within the legal industry.
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances as required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
