Job Overview:
A law firm is currently seeking a Divorce/Family Law Attorney to join its team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be experienced in family law litigation, possess trial advocacy skills, and be eager to advance in their career. Location:

Duties:

  • Maintain the minimum billable hour requirement
  • Provide compassionate legal services in various family law matters, including divorce, equitable distribution, custody, support, and step-parent adoptions
  • Draft legal pleadings and documents, conduct research on local rules and case law
  • Represent clients in court for conferences, hearings, and trials
  • Respond to client calls and emails promptly, as per the firm's Engagement Letter
  • Manage the timeline for discovery and prepare discovery responses
  • Exhibit professionalism and ethical integrity in all matters

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with strict deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Pennsylvania Bar

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills, particularly in family law
  • Excellent research and writing capabilities
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills
