Attorney needed for New York City office

A law firm in New York City is seeking an Attorney with 2+ years of experience in handling the preparation and trial of insurance coverage and defense litigation in federal and state courts. New York Bar admission is required, with New Jersey Bar admission considered a plus.

Duties:

• Handle the preparation and trial of insurance coverage and defense litigation cases in federal and state courts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance coverage issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• Stay updated on developments in insurance law and legal precedents.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage and defense litigation.
• Admission to the New York Bar.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar (preferred).
• Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience handling cases in federal and state courts.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
