Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions in the private equity space.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review financing documents, including credit agreements and related ancillary documents.
  • Provide legal guidance to clients regarding complex financial structures and transactions.
  • Work closely with other legal teams and clients to ensure timely and efficient completion of deals.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance and risk management strategies about finance transactions.
  • Manage client relationships and provide clear, actionable legal advice.
  • Mentor and supervise junior associates, offering guidance and support on various finance matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
  • Proven experience in sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex transactions and deliver high-quality legal advice under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Expertise in finance and credit transactions.
  • High proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documentation related to finance.
  • Strong understanding of the private equity and financial sectors.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a client-focused approach in all aspects of the role.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills for junior associates.
