A law firm in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Bankruptcy Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in bankruptcy practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Admission to the Florida State Bar and at least one federal/Bankruptcy jurisdiction is required. This role involves drafting and reviewing pleadings, attending court hearings, and ensuring compliance with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-paced volume-based environment.
  • Produce accurate and high-quality work product with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Work independently and exhibit strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Review bankruptcy cases and pleadings to determine the best course of action.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate and defend actions.
  • Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel.
  • Update internal systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.
  • Utilize intermediate to advanced-level computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in general office tasks.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written electronic correspondence.
  • Analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar membership in the State of Florida and at least one federal/Bankruptcy jurisdiction, with eligibility for admission to all FL federal/Bankruptcy jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with all chapters of the federal Bankruptcy Code and practice within FL BK courts.
  • Working knowledge/understanding of secured real estate loans and other secured lending practices preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in bankruptcy practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.
  • Admission to at least one federal/Bankruptcy jurisdiction, with eligibility for admission to all FL federal/Bankruptcy jurisdictions.
