A law firm in Austin is seeking a Litigation Antitrust Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in antitrust law with a minimum of 2 years of experience in antitrust litigation. This role requires excellent writing skills and a deep understanding of antitrust regulations and litigation procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on antitrust issues and laws applicable to client matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to antitrust litigation.
  • Assist in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Review and analyze documents and evidence in complex antitrust cases.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on antitrust compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client communication.
  • Attend court proceedings and participate in negotiations with opposing counsel.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in antitrust litigation at a reputable law firm or government agency.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state antitrust laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with merger review and investigations by antitrust authorities.
  • Familiarity with economic principles relevant to antitrust analysis.
  • Previous experience in complex commercial litigation involving antitrust issues.
