Mid to Senior-Level IP/Life Sciences Associate

Job Overview:

A reputable law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior-level Patent Litigation Associate with a background in life sciences to join its Intellectual Property and Technology group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ANDA litigation cases and will contribute to high-level patent litigation matters. This is a full-time, onsite role based in New York.

Location:

• New York City, NY

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of patent litigation, particularly in life sciences and ANDA litigation cases

• Handle written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests

• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other legal documents

• Take and prepare for depositions with minimal supervision

• Collaborate with legal teams on trial preparation and courtroom presentations

• Provide strategic counsel to clients on complex legal matters

Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of patent litigation experience

• Proven experience in life sciences and ANDA litigation

• Strong understanding of all aspects of patent litigation

• Experience in managing written discovery, brief writing, and conducting depositions

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Prior experience in a regional or national law firm preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar
