Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their San Diego, CA team. The role involves defending consumer law cases across federal and state courts, focusing on class actions. The associate will collaborate with senior attorneys, engage directly with clients and opposing counsel, and manage cases in a paperless environment.

• Duties:

  • Defend consumer law cases in federal and state courts, specializing in class actions.
  • Manage all stages of litigation: information gathering, case law analysis, discovery (including depositions), hearings, and trials.
  • Develop action plans and litigation strategies with senior attorneys and partners.
  • Directly communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Coordinate with local counsel and manage cases alongside insurance risk managers.

• Requirements:

  • JD Degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Preferred: Top 1/2 of law school class, law review, and moot court experience.
  • Prior experience in consumer defense law; insurance coverage experience is advantageous.
  • Licensure in multiple states and federal court admissions are helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable in a paperless environment.
