Duties:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, including patent disputes and other related matters
• Lead motions practice, briefings, and depositions
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and manage expert testimony
• Represent clients in PTAB proceedings and trials
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and support staff
• Provide strategic advice and legal support to clients in IP litigation matters
• Develop and implement case strategies from pre-litigation through trial
• Maintain case files, and timelines, and ensure compliance with court orders and deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property litigation
• Proven experience with patent litigation, including motions practice and depositions
• Ability to manage and lead cases independently
• Experience working with experts and participating in PTAB and trial proceedings
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex case management tasks
• Must be licensed to practice law in California or have the ability to become licensed shortly after joining
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar (or ability to obtain licensure)
• USPTO registration is a plus, particularly for candidates with a background in engineering
