A law firm in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Associate Attorney and manage their own caseload while engaging in client interactions and collaborating with the firm's Immigration Team. The role involves representing clients in immigration matters, preparing applications, and developing strategic solutions for various immigration issues.

Duties:

  • Report to the Sr. Associate Attorney and manage a caseload of immigration cases.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to address changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to develop effective immigration strategies.
  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
  • Provide legal analysis to identify possible benefits for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR, detained cases, and USCIS applications.
  • Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
  • Proficiency with case management software is preferred.
