A reputable real estate law firm is seeking a Michigan-licensed attorney for a hybrid position in the post-sale section of its Foreclosure Department. This role combines transactional work and courtroom experience, with responsibilities ranging from resolving title issues to assisting creditors with post-foreclosure requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and reviewing pleadings, handling creditors' rights, and attending possession hearings in District Court.

Duties:

  • Resolve title issues related to post-foreclosure matters.
  • Assist creditors with post-foreclosure requirements and processes.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze pleadings related to foreclosure cases.
  • Handle creditors' rights issues, providing legal advice and guidance.
  • Attend possession hearings in District Court, representing clients effectively.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assignments.
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders regarding post-sale foreclosure matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active State Bar of Michigan license to practice law.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills for both business and legal contexts.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis, and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Michigan State Bar license (required).
