Employment Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Of Counsel attorney for its Las Vegas office. This role involves defending and litigating employment-related lawsuits, offering strategic legal advice to employers, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in employment litigation, including managing complex cases in both state and federal courts, and providing mentorship to junior attorneys and staff.

Location:

• Las Vegas, Nevada

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases
• Handle complex litigation, with class action experience preferred (but not required)
• Provide guidance and supervision to associates and paralegals, including delegating assignments and providing feedback

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in employment litigation, including significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity
• Current Nevada bar admission in good standing
• Experience with state and federal agency procedures in employment law
• Proven ability to manage and lead legal teams, including associates and paralegals
• Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar or eligibility to gain admission
