Location:

• Minneapolis, MN

Duties:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, software, computer science, and related technologies
• Draft patent claims, specifications, and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with clients to understand their inventions and develop tailored patent strategies
• Provide counsel on patentability, portfolio management, and intellectual property strategy
• Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Work effectively within a team-oriented, client-focused environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution
• Strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with AI and machine learning patent applications preferred
• Must be admitted to practice before the USPTO
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on client service and teamwork
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field

Certifications:

• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
