Mid-level Associate Attorney II

A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a motivated Mid-level Associate Attorney II with 3-8 years of general Insurance Defense experience. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of litigation matters, including general liability, civil litigation, and insurance defense, for nationwide clients. Trial experience is preferred.

Duties:

• Manage a substantial caseload involving civil litigation and insurance defense matters.
• Handle cases across multiple areas including general liability, products liability, premises liability, professional liability, construction defect, and insurance coverage.
• Draft pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
• Conduct depositions of parties, experts, and other witnesses.
• Review client documents and draft case evaluations and status report correspondence.
• Participate in trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances, potentially up to and including trial.
• Communicate directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Nevada State Bar and federal district courts in Nevada.
• 3-8 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on Insurance Defense preferred.
• Trial experience is highly desirable.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with superb organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Nevada State Bar and federal district courts in Nevada is required.
