Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Cherry Hill, NJ office. This role focuses on insurance defense and self-insured matters across a diverse range of areas, including premises liability, transportation, utility litigation, catastrophic loss, and more. The selected candidate will undergo training at the firm’s Southern NJ office and will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity.

Duties

• Handle insurance defense and self-insured cases in various practice areas, including but not limited to premises liability, transportation, and construction defects.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective case strategies and solutions.
• Maintain open communication with clients regarding case progress and updates.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in insurance defense.
• Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar and New Jersey Bar is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Bar license.
• Valid New Jersey Bar license.
