Duties:

  • Advise on ERISA compliance and related legal issues, including mergers, acquisitions, and downsizing.
  • Work with clients to develop actionable, understandable solutions to complex legal challenges.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis in areas related to employee benefits law.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure optimal outcomes in both routine and complex matters.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and provide strategic advice regarding employee benefits.
  • Draft legal documents, including agreements, memorandums, and compliance filings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in employee benefits law, specifically with ERISA and related areas.
  • Strong academic background with proven legal skills and a strategic approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, particularly the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
  • Strong research capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in working with a wide range of clients, both individual and corporate.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in one of the following jurisdictions is required: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or Washington, DC.
