A well-established law firm based in Killeen, TX is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will handle a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support cases. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle a variety of family law cases including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and domestic disputes.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies for family law litigation and negotiations.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Manage a full caseload, ensuring personalized service and effective communication with clients.
  • Optionally take on criminal defense cases if experienced in both family law and criminal law.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law (experience in criminal law is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to offer creative solutions in legal matters.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to handling sensitive family law cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar license (Required).
