Job Overview:
A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability litigation group. The ideal candidate should have strong research, writing, and litigation skills, along with experience handling civil cases from inception to resolution. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside a skilled team in a professional yet supportive environment.

Location:

  • Atlanta, GA

Duties:

  • Review case files and conduct legal analysis of claims and causes of action.

  • Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate documents.

  • Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions.

  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.

  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and coordinate trial preparation.

  • Participate in negotiations and mediations.

  • Travel as required for casework.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in General Liability litigation, with an emphasis on transportation and auto claims.

  • Experience managing civil cases from inception to resolution.

  • Proficiency in taking and defending depositions, including 30(b)(6) and expert witness depositions.

  • Ability to draft and argue substantive motions and attend hearings and trials.

  • Strong negotiation and mediation experience.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Strong client interaction skills and professional communication.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia (additional state admissions are a plus but not required).

Skills:
