Mid-level to Senior Structured Transactions Associate

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking to hire a highly qualified Midlevel/Senior Associate to join its structured transactions practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate and/or finance transactions, with a preference for structured finance and securitization backgrounds. Expertise in RMBS, ABS, CLO, or financing is highly preferred, though not mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney looking to join a dynamic team at a leading law firm. 

Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of structured finance transactions, including but not limited to RMBS, ABS, CLO, and financing matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents related to structured finance transactions
• Provide legal guidance on regulatory issues affecting structured finance and securitization
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop innovative solutions for complex financial transactions
• Maintain relationships with clients and assist in business development efforts
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of client service

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in corporate or finance transactions, with a focus on structured finance and securitization preferred
• Strong background in RMBS, ABS, CLO, or financing transactions is highly desirable but not required
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage complex legal matters and interact effectively with clients
• High degree of professionalism and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong academic credentials

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Strong academic record

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in the state where the position is located (or eligibility to waive in)

This large New York law firm opened with a labor and leveraged-leasing practice and quickly built a substantial corporate and litigation practice. Today the office is organized into the following practice groups: Business and Finance, Litigation, Labor and Employment Law, Environmental, Intellectual Property, Taxation, Personal Law, Antitrust, and Trade Regulation. Unlike many other national firms with local offices, the New York office has an independent practice base generated by its attorneys. The New York-based attorneys spend substantially all of their time working on behalf of clients of the New York office.
