Technical Transactions / Cyber Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Technical Transactions / Cyber Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience to join its Minneapolis office. This position is ideal for candidates with a versatile background in intellectual property (IP) matters—including technology licensing, trade secrets, trademarks, copyright protection, and marketing—and privacy compliance, such as developing privacy policies and data protection agreements. Candidates will also gain exposure to tech-centric general corporate matters.

Duties

• Handle technology licensing and commercial transactions
• Manage trade secrets, trademarks, copyright protection, and brand management
• Advise on privacy compliance and develop related policies
• Engage in general corporate matters, including initial formation and contract negotiation
• Collaborate effectively with team members

Requirements

• Strong academic credentials
• Exceptional analytical and writing abilities
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Active law license in good standing

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) preferred but not required

Skills

• Proven self-starter with a proactive approach
