The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience in sophisticated corporate and transactional matters, providing legal counsel to a diverse set of clients. This position involves offering expert advice on complex legal issues, performing due diligence, and leading business transactions for a range of clients.

Location:

Duties:

  • Research and analyze complex legal issues, writing briefs for submission to a supervising attorney
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses
  • Analyze, summarize, and suggest alterations to complex legal documents, including contracts
  • Negotiate with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes, including settlement conferences
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks and develop strategies to reduce areas of risk
  • Conduct due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and mergers & acquisitions
  • Advise clients on business transactions, liability, and litigation strategy
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, leases, deeds, patent applications, and mortgages
  • Collaborate with colleagues in relevant areas of law to establish legal precedents and support proceedings

Requirements:

  • Law School graduate
  • Must be admitted to the Florida Bar
  • Compliance with the Florida Bar's continuing education requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Corporate or Transactional Attorney

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active state bar membership (Florida)

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
