Workers Compensation Defense Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense seeks a motivated and experienced attorney to join their San Jose office. Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend hearings, trials, mediations, and other proceedings as necessary.
• Communicate with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to achieve strategic legal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation in a paperless environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing workers' compensation defense law, preferably in California.
• Strong organizational ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Exceptional research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate effectively in a paperless office environment using legal software and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex legal issues clearly and persuasively.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Current State Bar license and membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
