Mid-Level Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney for their New York City office. The Mid-Level Associate Attorney will focus on a wide range of market-leading M&A and corporate transactions involving public and private asset management firms. The ideal candidate will have a high level of academic achievement and solid law firm experience.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to M&A and corporate transactions.
• Draft and review transactional documents, including asset purchase agreements, merger agreements, and corporate governance documents.
• Assist in due diligence investigations.
• Participate in negotiations with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Provide general legal support to senior attorneys and partners.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of strong M&A and corporate experience.
• Experience in, and an understanding of, the asset management and/or private funds industry is a plus.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (or ability to waive in).
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Advanced knowledge of corporate and securities laws.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
