Mid-level Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a Mid-level Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and have experience in commercial bankruptcy at a national law firm. The role involves working on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, providing legal counsel, and collaborating with clients to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex bankruptcy and restructuring cases
• Draft and review legal documents related to bankruptcy and restructuring
• Conduct legal research and analysis on bankruptcy laws and regulations
• Provide strategic advice on bankruptcy and restructuring issues
• Negotiate and structure bankruptcy and restructuring deals
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and objectives
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on case management
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in bankruptcy and restructuring law

Requirements:

• Excellent academic credentials
• 2-5 years of commercial bankruptcy experience at a national law firm
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures
• Ability to handle multiple cases and manage time effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Bar admission in the state of Illinois

Skills:

• Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
