Job Description

Duties:

• Counsel clients on various employment issues, including compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Represent clients in single-plaintiff and class/collective action employment litigation.
• Handle issues under the National Labor Relations Act, including representing clients in NLRB administrative and enforcement proceedings.
• Manage grievances and labor arbitration.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Advise clients on best practices for employment policies and procedures.
• Provide training to clients on employment law topics and developments.
• Negotiate and draft employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contracts.
• Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Assist senior attorneys with complex cases and support ongoing litigation matters.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Proven experience counseling clients on a variety of employment issues.
• Experience representing clients in single-plaintiff and class/collective action employment litigation.
• Some traditional labor experience, including handling issues under the National Labor Relations Act and managing NLRB administrative and enforcement proceedings.
• Ability to handle grievances and labor arbitration independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• A superior academic record.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Ohio.
