A law firm seeks a highly qualified securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Boston, MA. This professional-track position, which does not lead to partnership, is intended for an attorney with robust experience in structured securities offerings and a focus on commercial real estate transactions. This role involves representing a wide range of clients, including REITs, public and private real estate companies, and institutional investors, across transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and developments.

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings with a focus on regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Represent clients in various real estate transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, financings, restructurings, and property developments.
  • Provide strategic counsel on real estate finance and investment structuring to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and prepare analyses to support complex financial transactions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years experience managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate law.
  • Proficiency in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and best practices in real estate investment structuring.
  • Prior experience with a reputable law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 100.
  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Sound business judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
