Job Overview:
A respected plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its expanding team in Westminster, CA. The firm specializes in handling individual FEHA/wrongful termination claims and wage-and-hour class/PAGA actions. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of civil litigation experience (preferably in employment law) and a passion for advocating for workers’ rights. The position offers a hybrid work environment, providing the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a supportive and dynamic firm.

Location:

  • Westminster, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment-related legal matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage-and-hour violations
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents in both state and federal courts
  • Manage cases from inception to settlement or verdict, including court appearances, depositions, and pretrial motions
  • Engage in mediation and settlement negotiations with opposing counsel
  • Work independently on assigned cases and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for employment law experience
  • Licensed to practice law in California
  • Experience with written discovery in both state and federal court preferred
  • Experience with court appearances, depositions, pretrial motions, and litigation from start to finish
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Effective negotiation skills and the ability to represent clients in mediation and against defense counsel
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • California State Bar admission

  • Proficiency in civil litigation, particularly in employment law
