A law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and be responsible for developing relationships with clients, providing legal counsel, representing clients in court and negotiations, conducting research, preparing legal documents, and ensuring clients receive the best and most cost-effective legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with clients to understand their legal needs and provide counsel.
  • Explain legal options to clients and bring possible outcomes or threats to their attention.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare necessary legal documents.
  • Assign tasks to legal assistants as needed and provide guidance and feedback on their work.
  • Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours, providing either a substantive answer or an acknowledgment with an expected response time.
  • Stay informed about current legislation relevant to practice areas.
  • Find ethical solutions to legal matters.
  • Meet a minimum of 1650 billable hours per year.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to provide the best service for clients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the state of Colorado.
  • 2-3 years of experience as an attorney.
  • Experience in HOA law is beneficial.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
