Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Location: Newport, DE (Hybrid work options available)

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various practice areas, especially foreclosure and litigation. Duties:

  • Represent clients throughout all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested cases.
  • Review conditions precedent to filing, including loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
  • Draft, review, and maintain legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to foreclosure actions.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze relevant statutes, case law, and servicing requirements.
  • Attend court hearings and manage communication with opposing counsel.
  • Ensure the internal client systems are updated with findings, recommendations, and all necessary documentation.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and professionalism standards at all times.
  • Manage a high volume of work while meeting deadlines set by clients, investors, and courts.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Delaware State Bar (newly barred attorneys encouraged to apply).
  • Prior experience in foreclosure or litigation is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be local to or within commuting distance of Wilmington, DE.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Delaware State Bar membership.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Delaware is required.

Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Office tools.
  • Familiarity with electronic case management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
