A reputable law firm is seeking an entry-level Associate Attorney to join its Family Law practice group in Bend, OR. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain immediate courtroom experience, manage their own cases, and collaborate with experienced professionals. Location:

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft detailed documents for family law cases
  • Prepare and adjudicate family law cases, including hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters, providing assistance and case support
  • Meet with clients, building rapport, trust, and managing case control
  • Participate as an active member of the legal team, contributing to the firm’s culture and community
  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate work
  • Advocate creatively for clients, finding solutions that may not be in traditional legal resources

Requirements:

  • Oregon State Bar license
  • 0-4 years of experience in family law (or relevant litigation experience)
  • Demonstrable courtroom experience (e.g., hearings, trials, depositions)
  • Ability to handle complex family law, custody, asset, and business litigation
  • Strong legal writing and research skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while seeking advice when needed
  • Creative and flexible in advocacy, with a focus on producing excellent work
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high client expectations

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school

Certifications:

  • Oregon State Bar license
