Job Overview A well-established law firm with office in Fort Mitchell, KY is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. Duties
Conduct comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to legal actions, including loan documents, financial records, and demand letters
Draft and review pleadings, legal correspondence, and related documentation
Appear in court for hearings and communicate with opposing counsel as needed
Ensure internal case management systems are updated with accurate findings and recommendations
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local laws related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections
Exercise discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters
Contribute to quality assurance and process improvement as part of a detail-oriented legal team
Requirements
Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent attention to detail and high standards for accuracy
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify corrective actions and solutions
No prior legal experience required, but preferred for applicants with exposure to litigation or compliance
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications
Active Bar membership in the State of Ohio (required)
Admission in Kentucky is a plus
Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Strong verbal and written communication
Legal research and document drafting skills
Ability to adapt to evolving priorities in a high-volume practice
Familiarity with quality assurance/control concepts (preferred)
