Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will manage cases independently, represent clients in court proceedings, and handle various litigation matters, including foreclosure and REO-related cases.

Job Duties:

  • Manage cases from assignment to conclusion, ensuring deadlines are met and clients' expectations are exceeded.
  • Draft court pleadings, legal memos, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee discovery matters, including conducting depositions, filings, and defending motions.
  • Independently represent clients at court hearings, both live and telephonic, as well as mediations.
  • Conduct internal and external training to enhance legal knowledge within the firm.
  • Communicate directly with the firm’s clients to provide updates and address inquiries.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of jurisdiction experience in general litigation, with a preference for foreclosure and REO-related litigation.
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • Admitted to all federal district courts within the state or willing to obtain admission.
  • Excellent legal research skills and ability to effectively analyze complex legal issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • Admission to all Federal District Courts within Colorado, or willingness to become admitted.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting various legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and court interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
