This position involves managing debt recovery litigation and representing clients regionally. Duties:

  • Negotiate settlements for pending litigation cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and discovery.
  • Engage in motion practice and handle court appearances.
  • Execute legal documents and manage litigation calendars.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with staff, opposing counsel, and courts to ensure smooth case progression.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar.
  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with civil litigation processes.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally with legal staff, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in collections law is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Tennessee Bar License (Required).
