Associate Attorney needed for Davie office

Job Overview: A law firm in Davie, FL, seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting documents, assisting with negotiations, and representing clients in legal proceedings under the guidance of senior attorneys.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases and guide clients.
• Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
• Assist with negotiations and settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
• Attend meetings with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the legal process.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling, and managing correspondence.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience as an attorney.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in legal drafting and writing.
• Familiarity with legal administrative tasks and procedures.
• Experience with Westlaw or other legal research tools is preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
