A law firm in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney to support their legal team in various litigation matters. The ideal candidate will assist senior attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, attending court proceedings, and managing case files.

Job Duties:

  • Assist senior attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics related to litigation cases using Lexis and Westlaw.
  • Attend court proceedings and assist in trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with clients regarding case updates.
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and provide valuable insights.
  • Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
  • Support attorneys in negotiations and settlements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of legal administrative procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Arizona or eligibility for admission.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in a law office, particularly in litigation, is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
