Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a talented Attorney Specialist to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This permanent, non-partnership track role is suited for experienced attorneys with 5 to 10 years of expertise in asset management law. The position will focus on supporting mutual fund and ETF filings, fund launches, regulatory compliance under the 1940 Act, and preparation of mutual fund board materials. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex matters while making a significant contribution to a growing and specialized practice area.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX.

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of mutual fund and ETF filings.
  • Contribute to new fund launches and the review and update of mutual fund registration statements and shareholder reports.
  • Prepare mutual fund board materials and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct research related to the 1940 Act and other asset management regulations.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on major client matters.
  • Manage projects efficiently while ensuring high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in asset management law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the 1940 Act and mutual fund regulatory matters.
  • Proven project management experience and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to long-term professional growth in the asset management field.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the bar in the state of practice.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in the preparation and filing of mutual fund documents.
