Duties and Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in wage/hour class action lawsuits.
  • Handle cases related to traditional labor law, including collective bargaining and union-related matters.
  • Advocate for clients in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft compelling legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on labor and employment law issues.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Proven experience representing clients in wage/hour class actions, traditional labor law, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Membership in good standing with the California Bar.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Membership in good standing with the California Bar is required.
